| Resumo: |
|
This study is a historical research that attempts to
reconstruct the birth of a psychiatric social work in the
United States in order to identify the historical
background of the Freudian deluge in the twenties, a time
in which psychoanalytical psychiatry becomes the main
approach of the hygiene movement and the mental hygiene
principles established by Adolf Meyer as the landmark of
the influence of psychoanalysis in American social work.
